Demonstration Projects
Gang Chaplaincy Initiative
The Gang Chaplaincy Initiative is part of a larger vision throughout Central American and the Caribbean known as the “Strategy of Transformation” in which we train and equip more than 350 grassroots leaders. Together with Christian Reformed World Mission, CTM has hired and currently trains seven former gang members/leaders to be chaplains to gang members in the prisons of Guatemala.

Arts From Below Initiative
This initiative is active in Tacoma, Guatemala, and Nairobi. We equip and network artist not only to do art about or for least, but to do art with the least. We use the prophetic gift of the arts to give voice to the voiceless and speak truth to power.
- Example: Mathare Nairobi, Kenya
- Example: La Limonada, Guatemala
Nairobi Masters Initiative
In partnership with Bakke Graduate University, CTM has started a pilot international degree program with 30 pastors in Nairobi. This degree program will serve as a model for offering masters degrees internationally.
